Outlook keeps your mail, tasks, notes, calendar and contacts in an Outlook Data File (.pst). Twos reads the parts that are things straight from that file, on your device. The file is never uploaded, so even a mailbox of several gigabytes works.

Before you start

  1. 1

    Export a .pst

In classic Outlook for Windows, choose File, then Open & Export, then Import/Export. Choose Export to a file, then Outlook Data File (.pst). Select your mailbox, keep Include subfolders checked, and save the file.

  2. 2

    Import it

Choose that file in Settings Integrations Outlook. A large mailbox can take a few minutes to read.

What comes across

  • Tasks. Each task folder becomes a list of to-dos. Microsoft To Do tasks come along, since they are Outlook tasks underneath.
  • Flagged email becomes one list of to-dos, with who it is from in the note.
  • Notes become things, the first line as the text and the rest as the note.
  • Calendar events from today on, and repeating events that haven't ended, each get a reminder at their start.
  • Contacts with a birthday go into a Birthdays list, each with a yearly reminder.
  • A task's reminder time or due date becomes a reminder, and its body becomes the note. A task that repeats every day, week, month or year keeps that repeat.

Tips

  • New Outlook and Outlook for Mac can't export a .pst. Outlook for Mac exports an .olm, which Twos can't read yet. To bring just your calendar across, export it as an .ics and see calendars and birthdays.
  • After choosing the file, untick any list you don't want in the preview. Nothing is created until you approve.
