Everywhere you are
Libby
Highlights from books you borrowed in Libby can be imported into Twos, one list per book and one thing per highlight. It works for books you have already returned.
Before you start
Libby has no way to connect another app, so each book is exported from Libby by hand. It takes a few taps per book, and you can bring in several books at once.
Export a book from Libby
- In Libby, open the book and tap Reading Journey. Books you returned still have one.
- Tap Actions, then Export Reading Data, then Data.
- Libby opens a page of data. Copy its link.
Import
Paste the link into Settings Integrations Libby and choose Preview highlights. Paste several links, one per line, to bring in several books. This works in the iPhone, iPad, and Android apps as well as on the web.
On the web you can also upload the export as a file, if you saved it instead of copying the link.
You will see a preview of every book and how many highlights it found. Nothing is created until you approve.
What comes across
Highlight text, in book order, grouped into a list per book. When Libby includes a note you attached to a highlight, it lands in that thing's note.
Re-importing
Re-importing is safe. Each highlight is matched by its book and the moment you made it, so exporting a book again later adds only the new highlights and skips the rest.
Readwise
Readwise can sync Libby highlights on its own, but only for books you read in the last couple of weeks, and it is a paid subscription. See Readwise.
