Moving to the new Twos
Your account and your data after the move
Your account and everything in it carry over on their own. Here is how, and what to do in the rare case they seem not to.
Why you'd care
The update replaces the whole app, which is exactly when people worry about being signed out or losing things. Knowing what to expect makes the rare hiccup easy to fix.
What happens when Twos updates
- You stay signed in. The new Twos picks up the session the original app left on your phone or in your browser, so you open it signed in.
- Other accounts come too. If you were signed in to more than one account, they appear in the account switcher. See multiple accounts.
- Offline edits are sent. If you wrote things with no connection just before the update, the new Twos sends them the first time it is online.
- Everything else is already there. Your lists and things live on your account, not on your device, so nothing needs to move.
If you see an empty app
An empty app almost always means you are in a different account, not that anything is gone.
- 1
Check which account you are in
Open the account switcher. If the name is not yours, or it says you are not signed in, you are in a new, empty account.
- 2
Sign in the way you always did
Use the same email and password, or the same Google or Apple button, as before. A different sign-in method can create a separate account. See sign in.
- 3
Still empty? Write to us
Tell us the email on your account and how you used to sign in, and we will find it. See contact support.
