Everywhere someone mentioned you, collected in one view.

Why you'd care

On a shared list, a mention is how something gets handed to you. Without a view collecting them, you would have to reread every shared list to find out.

What lands here

Things on shared lists where someone typed @ and your username.

For writing a mention rather than receiving one, see mention a person or a list.

Notifications

Mentions can notify you in the app and by email. Both are separate settings, so you can have the view without the email.

Going further

Mentions are not assignment. There is no assignee field and nothing is tracked as owed. A mention is a pointer, and what happens next is between you and the other person.

Clearing is manual. Nothing expires from this view on its own, which is deliberate: something you have not dealt with should not quietly vanish.

Tips

  • Check it when you open a shared list, not constantly. It is an inbox and inboxes reward batching.
  • If a shared list generates many mentions, agree with the other person on what a mention means. Otherwise it becomes noise.
