Lists
Delete a list
Deleting a list sends it to Trash, together with everything in it.
The 60-second version
Open the list's ... menu in its header and choose delete, or press ⌘⌥⌫. The list, its things and their reminders go to Trash, and you can restore them from there. See Trash.
If you want to keep some things, move them out first.
Lists with sublists
When the list has sublists, Twos asks what you want:
- Delete list only deletes this list and leaves its sublists alone. They stay as lists of their own, still inside any other lists they belong to.
- Delete list & sublists deletes this list and every sublist nested inside it, all the way down.
Deleting a sublist on its own also removes its row from every list it was inside.
Going further
Deleting a shared list affects collaborators. They lose access. If the list matters to other people, hand it over or leave it rather than deleting it.
Consider archiving instead. For a finished list, archive keeps the record and clears the clutter. See archive.
Nothing is gone until you empty Trash. Restoring a list brings its things back with it.
Tips
- Before deleting anything with history, ask whether archiving would do. It almost always would.
