Time until
A reminder can show how long is left until it, right next to the thing.
Why you'd care
"In 3 days" registers in a way that a date does not. On anything with a real deadline, a countdown saves you doing the sum every time you look at it.
Turning it on

Open the reminder
Tap the reminder on a thing, or set a new one. See set a reminder.

Show more settings
Open Show more settings at the bottom of the reminder.

Turn on Show time until
The countdown now appears in the reminder's pill on the thing.
It is set per reminder, so you can count down to the deadlines that matter and leave the rest alone.
Going further
It is hidden when there is nothing useful to count. A reminder that repeats every hour or every day shows no countdown on the day it fires.
After the time passes, only to-dos keep it. An unfinished to-do keeps its countdown once the reminder is past. On any other kind of thing, it goes away. See overdue reminders.
Tips
- Use it on the few dates you would otherwise keep checking: a trip, a deadline, a birthday you are buying for.
