Twos can read your device calendars and push reminders back to them.

Why you'd care

If your meetings are in one app and your to-dos are in another, neither view is true. Sync puts both in one timeline, so "is Thursday busy" has an answer.

Before you start

  • Calendar permission at the operating system level.
  • A device calendar already set up. Twos syncs with the calendars your device knows about rather than connecting to Google directly.

Connect

    Grant calendar access

    Approve the permission prompt. Without it nothing can be read or written.

    Choose which calendars

    Pick which of your calendars are read. Leaving out shared or subscribed calendars you do not care about keeps the view clean.

    Choose whether reminders are pushed back

    Settings Calendar & Reminders Push all reminders to connected calendar writes Twos reminders into your calendar as events.

    Check it worked

    Open the Calendar view. Today's events should appear alongside your reminders.

What comes across

Into Twos: event titles, times, durations and descriptions, from the calendars you selected. The event's description arrives as the thing's note, with the Meet, Zoom, Teams and Webex join blocks stripped out and the join link attached to the thing as its link instead.

Removing it

Disconnecting offers to remove the events Twos created. This matters: things Twos pushed out carry a marker so they can be cleaned up, and reminders that were never pushed are unaffected.

Settings that change this

Tips

  • Sync fewer calendars than you think. A birthdays calendar with 200 entries drowns everything else.
  • Push reminders out only if you share your calendar with someone who needs to see them.

If it's not working

Events show up twice. Usually the same calendar is subscribed twice at the device level, or reminders are being pushed out and read back. Turn off push and see whether the duplicates stop.

Nothing appears. Calendar permission is denied, or no calendars are selected.
