This morning, after getting the hens up and giving them breakfast, helping feed the 22 calves, cuddling little white bull and 2239, plus a couple of others who have decided they, too, want morning cuddles, I spotted the heron in the paddock. I stood, watching it for a while, as it took flight, dropped back to the ground, and then flew over the hedge into the adjacent field. This is what I craved for most of my conventional working life - being outdoors and having moments like this. Eventually, dreams come true.by Nicola on TwosThis morning, after getting the hens up and giving them breakfast, helping feed the 22 calves, cuddling little white bull and 2239, plus a couple of others who have decided they, too, want morning cuddles, I spotted the heron in the paddock.
