- Getting Things Done methodology has helped my career and personal life immensely. The practice of GTD will add remarkable skills in all areas of your life. It is a methodology and not a “quick fix” scheme so it’s something that requires time and attention.
If you believe Will Durant’s summary of Aristotle’s writings, ”We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit” then the GTD methodology will help you develop habits that will lead you to greater productivity, clarity, purpose, and doing what is truly important.
I would challenge you to make an investment into GTD and give yourself 1-2 years to truly understand and implement the methodology. Don’t make the common mistake to dismiss part of it because it didn’t make sense at the time. Embrace it all, learn, and give yourself time to incorporate GTD in your life.
