A few weeks ago, my better half and I were headed to the store, when I noticed these three muggies in a neighborhood park. It was cold as hell that night and I decided to pick up some food for them. They were skittish, but that's alright. I've been going back every night to the same spot for two weeks and have tried finding their owners. They're still skittish, but, again, that's alright. After a grueling day at work, it makes me feel good to help keep these little cats alive. It isn't altrusim, because I'm getting something out of it. It gives my day a bit more purpose and I'm a firm believer in extending kindness and compassion at every available opportunity. I'm still going to try to find their owners, but I'll also feed them as much as I am able. Maybe no one cares, because a lot of people don't even care about one another, much less animals.
