Mon Jan 13, 2025by Nicola on TwosThis is Dot Dot. She adopted me a year ago when we were lambing. She looked for me every morning, helped me do my rounds (mostly to sneak some corn), stood with me in the shed, let me stroke her, and still waited for me even when her two lambs had been born. It was the first year I’d been involved with lambing and Dot Dot’s connection with me was miraculous. I’ve been waiting for her to come back to the farm for months. It was even more miraculous that she remembered me! This morning she made a beeline for me. We stood nose to nose, looking at each other. I call it communing. It never ceases to amaze me that this type of connection is possible. It is a privilege.
