My Father-in-Law had Open-Heart Surgery last Friday, so the family has been taking shifts to be with him. His hospital is about 3 hours away from all of us, and I relieved my wife who spent the last few days with him. I’ll be here for most of this week. The two of us have only been together once or twice in the past month, because he had to be hospitalized while waiting for the surgery, so it’s been a challenging time. But, this all has reminded us how important family is, and how important it is to show up when your family needs you.
