I just completed watching the Pride and Prejudice movie and overall, I liked it. I was particularly drawn to its old British era setting, including the buildings and settings, which felt very exciting and new compared to the regular movies. While I think it could have been done better, the dialogue impressed me with its polished, almost poetic quality. The music was very good and added to my enjoyment. The movie also touches on the patriarchy in the old British system in a neutral way, showing it as it was without casting it in a purely negative or positive light. I believe this storyline might be based on a book. The backdrop of the old English setup, with its kings, queens, palaces, and butlers, was particularly engaging to me. It reminded me of a series I used to watch and enjoyed greatly, though its name escapes me at the moment. Nevertheless, this movie, with its love story that doesn't feel typical, especially when compared to Indian movies, was enjoyable mainly because of its music and setting. The main actors, known from Succession and other movies, performed very well here. Overall, it was an enjoyable watch.by soul on TwosI just completed watching the Pride and Prejudice movie and overall, I liked it.
