PROBLEMS THAT ARISE WHEN WE FOCUS MORE ON GOALS, THAN SYSTEMS
by C2 Productions on Twos
- GOALS ARE AT ODDS WITH LONG-TERM PROCESS: This is very similar to Point 2. When you're training for a race. You train with the race in mind! Let's say, You win the race. If you had a goal oriented mind then you'll pretty much stop training since you already won the race. On the other hand if you had a system-oriented mind you'll continue training even though the Goal has been achieved as your focusing on the System.
"The purpose of setting goals is to win the game. The purpose of
building systems is to continue playing the game." Goal-less thinking allows you to continually refine & get better at what you do! It helps you to improve & make your progress.Your Process (System) will determine your progress!
