- 🖥️ My one week old computer was on the floor in pieces! What did I just do?
- Twenty years ago, I took apart my brand new PC to see what made it work. There was nothing wrong with it at all, but I learned later it was my ingrained compass of curiosity that made me do it.
- Because of following that curiosity, I ended it in the IT field which then turned into a passion.
- Because I loved what I did, it didn’t feel like work.
- Ten years ago, I found a new passion with digital marketing.
- As I dug deeper, I hyper focused on conversion rate optimization and copywriting.
- Basically, testing ways on how I can get more people to click on buttons and links in order for them to take action on something I wanted them to do.
- It was like a video game each time I reviewed the results of my experiments. I wanted to keep beating my scores.
- Now people pay me to help them fix their marketing problems. Again, it doesn’t even feel like work.
- The reason I’m sharing this with you is remind you if your feeling stuck to keep at learning new things until you find something that you fall in love with. You don’t have to get it right the first time or the tenth time, just as long as you keep moving forward.
- Each new thing you learn, whether it was yesterday or twenty years ago only molds you into a better, more experienced individual that others will find valuable as long as you can help them solve a problem.
- Today if I help someone fix a marketing problem and it takes me only ten minutes, it was because of my experience I can solve it that quick.
- Do I charge my client for the ten minutes?
- Nope, I get to charge them for my twenty years of experience that taught me how to fix it in ten minutes.
- Never undervalue what you can bring to others.
