Wed Jan 3, 2024by rebannford on TwosTonight while the dogs and I were sitting in the den and watching television, we began to hear "rodent footsteps" in/on the roof above us. All of the sudden something landed in the unused fluorescent light (that needs to be cleaned) above us. Zaila was already barking off and on at the "footsteps," but this was too much! I sent her to her kennel, while Annie watched from the couch. After about 30 minutes of flapping in and out of the light fixture, it finally went away and all was quiet for the rest of the night. I have no idea where it went. I just hope it found its way back outside and NOT into the attic or house. This is bat number four in the four years that I have lived here. The new roof has helped, I think. I also have an anti-bat device in the attic that is suppose to sound like a car alarm to them, and discourage them from sticking around. But this part of the roof has no attic above it. Even though they are good for pest control, I have come to dislike them very much.Bat #4:
