Sat Sep 30, 2023by Nicola on TwosToday we became livestock owners. We collected 9 hens from a poultry farmer in Chesterfield. Only one has a name so far - Yolko Ono. They're a lively lot! We clipped one wing on each of them (painless) to prevent them flying although one of them managed to get up on the gate so additional measures being implemented tomorrow. Yolko seems to be the leader and most outgoing so far. They're now all tucked up in the hen house and we're off to buy netting first thing in the morning to prevent a repeat of Chicken Run!
