Fri Sep 15, 2023by Nicola on TwosA mixed week. Big challenges at work. But better news at the tiny holding. Among other tasks I fed the newly weaned lambs. And four sheep dogs including Star who is expecting puppies imminently. (Very exciting!). We built two long raised beds, installed them and filled them with muck from the heap. Oh, and we had a massive bonfire to burn weeds and hawthorn cuttings. The ash has gone in the bottom of the raised beds. Sadly, Bear and his harem have been moved to other fields where there is better grass and some clover. But he will be back for lambing, if not before. The hens are confirmed for collection on or around 20th September.
