Sat Aug 5, 2023by Nicola on TwosSmallholding for Beginners course. Rained pretty much all day! Great venue and skills centre. Theory in the morning. Then animal handling. Hens. 🐓 Decided we’re not getting an Eglu! Goats. 🐐 Pygmy goats were very cute. Pigs. 🐖 They we’re fab! Very friendly and real characters. Sheep. 🐑 First time tipping one on to its back. Cows. 🐄 A Hereford and two new borns. Ducks. 🦆 Might get some for the pond. A great day to experience different animals, see how they’re organised and housed.
