Company url, if any:. https://www.twosapp.com/. If you have a demo, what's the url? Demo can be anything that shows us how the product works. Usually that's a video or screen recording. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOY9pmuom2U&t. Describe what your company does in 50 characters or less. Twos stops people from forgetting their lives. What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do. Twos is a quick and organized place to remember and share anything. Twos will be the biggest network of private and social information. Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC? Tampa, United States / anywhere we need to be. Please enter the url of a 1 minute unlisted (not private) YouTube video introducing the founder(s). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzLWTHWdYrg. Please tell us about an interesting project, preferably outside of class or work, that two or more of you created together. Include urls if possible. Mini basketball game for competing against your friends; Tens: https://apps.apple.com/cz/app/tens-10-for-10/id1213386656. How long have the founders known one another and how did you meet? Have any of the founders not met in person? We met at a tech startup in 2018. How far along are you? Twos is on the app store and syncs w/ www.TwosApp.com. Twos has over 11,000 users. How long have each of you been working on this? How much of that has been full-time? Please explain. Parker started working on version one of Twos in 2016. Joe joined for the third version in July 2020 and the two went full-time in May 2021. Are people using your product? Yes. How many active users or customers do you have? If you have some particularly valuable customers, who are they? If you're building hardware, how many units have you shipped? We currently have 42 DAUs and 315 MAUs. We value all of our user's feedback, particularly a self-proclaimed “notes nerd“, a tech IP attorney, and one of NE Florida's top real estate agent. Do you have revenue? No. Anything else you would like us to know regarding your revenue or growth rate? We are focused on growth and retention as we become the biggest network of private and social information and believe Twos social will generate billions in revenue a year. If you are applying with the same idea as a previous batch, did anything change? If you applied with a different idea, why did you pivot and what did you learn from the last idea? Parker applied with the first version in 2016. Since then we have removed social to focus on the foundation of our app, helping people stop forgetting their lives. We will reintroduce Twos Social as we hire a larger team. Why did you pick this idea to work on? Do you have domain expertise in this area? How do you know people need what you're making? Parker knew there was a better way to remember and share pieces of our lives, so he taught himself how to program while building Twos. We have validated the need through talking to people and the steady growth of the platform. What's new about what you're making? What substitutes do people resort to because it doesn't exist yet (or they don't know about it)? We are creating the fastest and easiest place to record and share any piece of your life, which other companies do not focus on. Currently, people use pen and paper and other applications (Apple Notes, Notion, emailing themselves, etc.) which all lack at least one benefit that Twos provides. Who are your competitors, and who might become competitors? Who do you fear most? Notion, Apple Notes, Evernote, paper, and other productivity/task apps. Twitter, Facebook, and Google could become competitors if they incorporate private capturing of information. We fear Notion the most. What do you understand about your business that other companies in it just don't get? Consumers are lazy and need the quickest and simplest tool to remember things. By writing pieces of information on days and lists, rather than fixed documents, people can remember anything. Having a place to share what they wrote privately will result in stronger human connections compared to personal updates. How do or will you make money? How much could you make? We will make money through advertising (on the social side), selling pro-features/customizations, B2B sales, creating an information marketplace, etc. Our revenue potential is exponential and we predict it will be billions per year. How will you get users? If your idea is the type that faces a chicken-and-egg problem in the sense that it won't be attractive to users till it has a lot of users (e.g. a marketplace, a dating site, an ad network), how will you overcome that? By spreading the word of how Twos can solve people's problems, we will see organic growth within target markets. We will incentivize users with a referral program, free upgrades, and merchandise. If you had any other ideas you considered applying with, please list them. One may be something we've been waiting for. Often when we fund people it's to do something they list here and not in the main application. Muse: Daily reflections. 7 Levels Deep: Find your why. Tens: Go ten for ten. Aware: Daily habit tracker. Please tell us something surprising or amusing that one of you has discovered. Left-handed people have better memories. What convinced you to apply to Y Combinator? Did someone encourage you to apply? YC is the best accelerator and people want Twos. . How did you hear about Y Combinator? Parker has applied in the past and we were referred by Danny Grannick.
