- Why Notion is great
- If you've tried Notion, you like to stay organized.
- You have a lot going on, a lot of information you want to remember, and things you need to keep track of.
- Notion is great for this.
- Notion has over 500 types of blocks to help you organize your information from company wikis to docs, project management, and more.
- And Notion continues to improve its product with automations, new views, repeating reminders, and integrations.
- Why Notion may not have worked
- All of these pros come with some cons.
- Notion can be slow and with so many options, it can be a rabbit hole for procrastination.
- It also becomes a lot of work to maintain.
- What started as a simple page, now requires you to fill out 12 fields whenever you want to add something.
- You want to share information with a friend, but they end up with permission issues or don't understand it.
- Your life moves fast. It's constantly changing and evolving and all of these changes create more work to maintain your information or it can become wasted time.
- What makes Twos different?
- Twos takes a different approach.
- Rather than endless customization and complex data, Twos is simply days, lists, & *things*.
- Twos is all about writing *things* down.
- Twos knows human minds are flawed and memory is one of our biggest challenges.
- A great thought is forgotten in a moment or an important task slips our mind and causes frustration.
- Twos focuses on quickly capturing *things* so we can remember and share more.
- Can Twos replace Notion?
- Yes.
- There are things that Twos can't do like databases and timelines, but for centuries people went without these.
- In the majority of cases, all you need is to write *things* down and a powerful search to quick reference.
- Twos has reminders, task management, journaling, notes, integrates with your calendar, and is fast and easy so it's a tool you'll want to continue to use.
- We use systems like Notion and Twos to capture and remember our lives and the information in them.
- We should use tools that make our lives easier and more productive.
- Twos does that.
