Since the dawn of time, humans have used tools to capture, remember, and share information. What began as charcoal on cave walls is now the primary method we communicate and learn.
✓ Writing things down is a major part of our lives. Ancient history, religion, philosophy, and science have all been passed down due to information being captured and stored effectively.
Many tools have helped us write things down: tablets, paper, notebooks, post-its, email, bullet journals, and more. Like the metal pen replaced a quill, it's time to rethink traditional note-taking.
Twos, a new system designed for writing *things* down has the potential to change note-taking as we know it. It is the best place to write, remember, and share *things*. *Things* are a new technology. They are different from all pre-existing note-taking and productivity platforms.
With Twos, you can capture, remember, and share any*thing* you care about—thoughts, experiences, notes, tasks, reminders, calendar events, and more. It's fast, simple, and all-in-one to help you stay organized, improve your memory, and be productive.

We currently offer encryption at rest and in transit and will expand this to end-to-end encryption in the future.

Maybe it's typing (you can write on iPads with an Apple Pencil), but we believe everyone needs to write *things* down and we currently do it on post-it notes, notebooks, email, and text, and we want to provide the best experience initially for writing *things* down.

For the past seven years, I have been building Twos. For the past two years, we've started marketing the product. People share their excitement for our simple, all-in-one solution to write *things* down. Soon, it will change the world.

North star: Build the best place to capture, remember & share *things*
The idea of Twos came from a frustration with Apple Notes and Google Docs. These systems are too unorganized and slow to capture any *thing* I wanted to remember.
They also don't have an easy way to share individual *things* you write down. You see people taking screenshots of their Apple Notes, but what if you didn't want to share every*thing* on a Note? Social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook are great for sharing, but they're designed for public information, not private capture.
In 2015, I started building a private-first platform to capture and remember *things*. Once captured, you can share individual *things* on the public side.
This desire invented a new way of writing down pieces of information we call *things*.
In the future, Twos will be synonymous with writing things down. When you think, "I need to write that down" or "I want to remember that" you'll turn to Twos.
We envision a world where billions of people use Twos to write, remember, and share *things*. We all have *things* we want to remember. Often times we don't write them down. Our current tools aren't fast and easy enough to capture these *things*. Thus, many *things* are forgotten. This results in the lost potential of what remembering and sharing *things* could be.

Today, we're overwhelmed with information. Attention spans are decreasing, we're depressed and insecure. We are also more divided and disconnected from each other and ourselves than ever before.
By providing the best place to capture, remember & share *things*, people will write more, tune into themselves, and accomplish goals. They'll improve their self-awareness and they'll develop empathy and understanding of other people. They'll also share authentic information with their friends and family. This creates more meaningful connections than what is currently shared on social media.
Writing things down increases our ability to focus, stay organized, and create connections.
Twos gives people the benefits of social media without the tax on our attention spans. Twos gives people the benefits of journaling without carrying around a notebook. Twos gives people the benefits of a to-do list without keeping track of them.

Twos needs to be fast so you can quickly capture what's on your mind before it's forgotten. We also want you to get back to your life and the present moment as quickly as possible.
Twos isn't a social media app that makes money off of stealing and selling your attention. Spend time reflecting and accomplishing *things*. Feel calm knowing you've captured some*thing* important.
Simplicity
Twos needs to be simple so everyone can write *things* down.
Complicated software turns people away. You should feel comfortable using Twos to remember *things*. We love to hear stories of how Twos is helping grandparents remember their medicine. Or, helping new parents manage their busy personal and work lives.

We plan on getting into hardware for writing and wearables to speak into and receive information.

Humans are social creatures. Sharing information and connecting with people is an innate desire.

Twos will help people in a foreign place to get real, authentic recommendations. Like Reddit, rather than Trip Advisor and sponsored results on Google.
In the future, you will send messages to people and groups and share *things* for a limited amount of time. Information will also be your asset by selling information on an open marketplace.
