- Big Picture Questions
- Is Georgia due for the 3-peat?
- I hate to give Kirby Smart any bulletin board material, but I don't think UGA pulls off the 3-peat. My reasoning? Two words: Mike Bobo.
- As we gamecocks know, at South Carolina, Bobo had a record of 28-38 in five seasons.
- Although, another two words, Brock Bowers. The guy is an absolute tank and it doesn't seem fair he's allowed to still play college football. He should be automatically eligible for the NFL draft. Will be betting his szn overs.
- Can any team in the East challenge Georgia?
- No. There's a chance for a shocking upset in Florida Georgia just because you can't prepare for the kind of energy Jacksonville brings.
- But I also hate the Gators
- If Alabama fails to win the West again this year can we start to say Saban has lost his touch?
- Bama is bama and I would be shocked if Saban didn't come back with a vengeance this year.
- When I close my eyes I imagine him just sitting in a recruiting meeting commanding respect and excellence which attracts exactly what you want in collegiate football players.
- I like Bama to win the West and the SEC which I believe we will cover later.
- Next year is the new SEC scheduling and Texas and Oklahoma will be joining. Will that be good for the league?
- Honestly my brain still hasn't been able to process it. Seeing some of those matchups will look more weird than kissing your sister.
- I'm convinced Oklahoma stinks and Texas may never be back. But I'm also pretty stoked to see Archie do cool things.
- "He has the potential to be one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history."
- SEC East
- Georgia- (-110) to win the conference, 11.5 win total, looking to 3peat Nattys
- Under with a completely random upset (hopefully South Carolina)
- Tennessee- 14/1 to win the conference, 9 win total, can they build on last year’s success or will they take a step back?
- Taking a step back. Those fans got too excited and I think Hendon Hooker was the real deal. Won't know about Joe Milton until the bright lights come on.
- South Carolina - 6.5 win total, can they keep exceeding expectations and can they eliminate those “South Carolina losses”?
- Hardest schedule in the SEC and I think it all comes down to Spencer Rattler. If he takes a big step up (which there could be too many distractions) then I like our chances not only to get over 6.5 but possibly give UGA some trouble.
- Kentucky - 7 win total, can they be better than mid in this conference?
- Personally I was shocked they we're as competitive as they were last year, so I expect them to be RIGHT around this number. Like 6 or 8 wins exactly.
- NC State transfer Devin Leary could even be an upgrade at quarterback and the offensive line play should be much improved.
- Missouri- 6 win total, same question as Kentucky
- Florida - 5.5 win total, could they be really bad this year?
- They will need to find a way to get more win against Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Utah, Kentucky, LSU, or Florida State to get into that 6-7 range for bowl eligibility.
- I also think they could drop one to Arkansas or Mizzou
- Vanderbilt - 4 win total, they are moving in the right direction, finally
- Someone please explain why they were getting votes to win the SEC East and the SEC overall? Make it make sense.
