How to Grill the Perfect Steak

- Pick your meat
- Consider three factors when selecting steak: cut, thickness and marbling.
- Heat the grill to high
- If it's too cold to grill outside, consider searing the meat in a cast iron skillet on the stove top then finishing it in the oven.
- Place the steaks on the grill
- Be sure to use tongs. Piercing steak with a fork before or during the cooking process can release the juices and cause the steak to dry out.
- Cook the steak for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired level of doneness
- Sprinkle equal parts of each seasoning on each side of the steak
- Start with onion powder and garlic powder then Creole seasoning. Coffee grinds, salt, and pepper also do wonders.
- Place steak on dish and wrap the steak in aluminum foil and seal tightly to allow steak to continue cooking in its own juices
- After 5 to 10 minutes, enjoy
