Chester’s Oreo
by John Allen · 9 things on Twos
- Wrote this song years ago for a skit. Chester, the one who sang it, was a character I created. He was over a hundred and looked like Santa Claus in overalls and a straw hat. Hope you get some amusement from it on this National Oreo’s Day.

- I went to the doctor the other day
And he told me I was fat
He asked me what I eat every day
I told him just this and that
But then I pulled a snack out of my pocket
And it happened to be Oreos
He said Oreos, they just have to go
They're a big no-no
- I was discouraged 'cause I love Oreos
They're my favorite meal of the day
I begged and pleaded until he consented
To just one Oreo a day
But I had a problem
I wanted more of them
One just wasn't enough
So I thought of a solution
And I found restitution
That was bigger than double stuffed
- So let me show you what I did
I put together all of those cookies
Those precious cookies devine
They taste so much better
Only a cup big enough to dunk is hard to find
I beat the doctor I out smarted him
Let that be a lesson to him and his friends
So I eat my one cookie day after day
And I think I'm actually loosing weight
- But then I got to thinking about other people
Who have been told to cut out this snack
It grieved me so deeply down deep in my heart
That I found a solution to that
- So let me tell you what I did
I called Nabisco the Oreo maker
And told them my idea
I told them my struggle with my doctor
And how I outsmarted him
We then decided to market this product
As "Chester's-One-Oreo-a-Day"
Soon you shall see them in your local stores
Starting this Father's Day
- This is not an actual picture of my cookie but it’s the same idea. 😉 http://www.drvino.com/2009/02/10/mega-double-stuff-oreo-impossible-food-wine-pairing/
