Mom’s feedback 12/26
by Joe · 63 things on Twos
- Joe's thoughts/notes in bold
- ---
- For me it’s how much I love the calendar
- Being able to type appointments on days (but doesn't realize those are days, just refers to them as calendar)
- I used to double book myself all the time
- I have found lists difficult to find
- Likes to access the calendar from the top right hand corner
- I would type “Joe Steilberg Mayo” but then I had too many “Mayo” entries
- Got me overwhelmed not helping me anymore
- She doesn't realize how to add those lists and things to a parent list which would make it easier to organize
- Can we get away with changing Add to… in list settings to —> Move to… and making it be the same experience as what it is now.
- “How do I move this list to a recipes list”
- For a while I was using it for dates in contracts but then it was cumbersome
- Too many dates
- Binder deposit due in 5 days
- But then it was too late because I was only getting a reminder on the day it was due, then I had to create another one to reach out to the realtor to see if she got it
- A lot of reminders to compensate for when I needed to be reminded of something when seemed cumbersome
- I know alerts are a thing, but that was too complicated
- She loves the ability to just type what she wants to be reminded of and it automatically creating a reminder.
- We should make it a user setting (possibly default) that asks you if you want to set automatic alerts to your reminders. Then in set-up it asks you if you want those alerts 1 day, 1hr, or 10 mins in advance. Remembering things.
- Searching for a list title I couldn’t remember made me really mad
- She had no idea about the work around of searching for a thing on that list
- Making a list of ways we can improve search will be immensely valuable. Or teaching people about search best practices. There is nothing more frustrating than searching for something and not being able to find it. One of my biggest gripes with Twitter.
- It was working really well with Megan when I was giving her things to-do
- Very quick to share that list with her
- "I might look into it as my companies CRM" - A gentlemen we were with last night
- People hate their CRMs, they hate outlook, they hate spreading their things all over the place. We need to teach them the Twos way.
- I think weekly webinars is something we MUST do. Maybe even send out the schedule in the welcome email for new users to join.
- I don’t use it for my grocery list because 9/10 times I think about what I need I’m at home and I love writing it on my board
- Last year I made a Christmas list of everything I got for you all last year because I was struggling with what to get you all this year
- Sublists got on my nerves of it being each individual item in a single individual item
- Didn't know about join. Got overwhelmed with a bunch of uncollapsed sublists and then being bombarded with things.
- I still think a better experience with sublists may be opening them as a list with one touch and then maybe making the chevron larger so that when you touch that it uncollapses in the list view. It's very easy to get back to a parent list from the opened sublist and sublists can be somewhat overwhelming when they are opening on top of one another.
- For the mass of people, they don’t have you sitting here talking them through it
- I told Parker the other day - you seem to get more daily active users if you hired someone on hourly basis you get a personal email about how we’re offering a free 15 min phone call and then you have to get real tight on how to get productive
- With one of our Twos experts: it should not be you or Parker. It makes it look like we’re a bigger org if we have an “Alex from our customer success team”
- Send them an email list of 10 items, have them pick 5, and show them those
- This could be accomplished with the weekly webinars while we figure out how to get our onboarding gassing.
- While I love the calendar, Scott Gillis thought the calendar was weak. Needs to be color coded and so on. Uses calendly.
- I think people who have familiarity with a calendar app realize that Twos standard calendar is not up-to-par with Google calendar.
- Obvi what they don't realize is how it is much more than that. But if they are looking for a calendar replacement, Twos is probably not gonna do it for them at it's current stage.
- Design refresh will help with this.
- I have very much disliked the searching thing with this Twos Word and all that stuff
- What are these purple buttons - why is it up there? Helper text that says press search and the two buttons that say search in them.
- We need to fix this experience. My early solution is to hide the "Search Twos World" buttons unless no results appear or you are at the bottom of your results.
- The reason I feel this way is if you have something already in your Twos, that is likely what you want to be seeing before other people's stuff.
- I also believe we should completely remove searching for Twosers as an option in search. That should only be available in My Twosers.
- We should add a tab on people's profiles for "lists I am collaborated on with this person" so I can look at Jedda and find the lists that we are collabbed on together, next to her published lists.
- I’m guilty of putting stuff in there but never looking at it again. It disappears into your phone.
- But then when looking at it - I feel really good!
- Every time my mom found or opened a list that she had "forgotten about" she was very happy, added more things to it, and saw immediate value.
- More features that assist recall. Prioritizing "on this day" back onto the daily list, possibly a remember button, reviewing lists you've created every week/month and picking which ones you want to keep vs archive.
- “Let me put down played pickleball, that will be fun to remember”
- On this day visually super confusing
- Once people get that first dopamine hit from using Twos, they go "Oh shit" which we are much more capable of when we do an in person demo
- Her suggestion is for us to be flying around, giving in person demos, and learning from those experiences. I said "obvi that is something that I would LOVE to do but there is a lot more reach with videos"
- "But they still won't be able to interact with you, ask you questions, you are a great salesman at heart"
- Weekly webinars?
- Mom is a big fan of revenue sharing through discord members to share the good news with people they think would be a DAU
- Evangelists create evangelists. People who know how to get the most out of Twos can be compensated for bringing more people in.
- Twos takes a learning curve to get the most out of it and people need to be invested in it in order to give you that time
- This is the main thing we need to solve
- Mom used swipe down for today ✌️
