- Ignore your timeline at the start
- Other people = The creator who has the audience you desire
- Your content are small fractions of who you are
- Whatever you put out there is going to shape and affect the way people perceive you
- So be intentional
- Start Writing threads from the start
- You do NOT get better by reading them
- You get better by putting pen on paper
- Focus on creating superfans instead of purely gaining followers
- Superfans will:
- Share your content like crazy
- Bring gigs/opportunities your way
- Becommend you in their conversations
- Create them by helping them out 1-on-1 as much as you can!
- Learn to fall in love with the process of learning and creating content
- Be authentic.
- Speak from experience.
- Stop trying to sell something.
- All platforms are flooded with this.
- Slow & steady. Have fun learning and sharing.
- Focus on connections more than gaining followers.
- Give more to others, it'll come back to you when it's time.
- Engage with your followers and other creators to get engagement.
- Write your 'Why' in Twos and set a recurring reminder
- Many obstacles and shiny objects will distract you on this journey.
- Be patient
- Find your voice by posting and interacting often
- Do what you do and do it often.
- Let the data tell you where to go.
- Share your journey.
- People love stories.
- Put your followers in the drivers seat
- Genuinely care about what they want to consume, and acknowledge them.
- If you notice someone always being supportive of your posts... thank them
- Go at your own pace
