- There are times when we find ourselves in a bit of trouble or bothering situations. It happened to me and that was the reason why this idea hit me. I was driving a bike many years ago, tire got punctured. I was literally standing on a highway bridge with my bike. I tried finding phone number of some local tire technician but no luck. I had to literally push my bike for like 1km before I could reach the market and found a shop where I got it repaired. This is just an example, I can imagine a lot of people having some problem at some time that they were left with no clue. So here’s the concept:
- App will basically have 2 types of users. One who will take help and the other one who helps and earn some money. The one who help could probably be a professional in that field if the problem is something related to a field just like my example above.
- Let’s suppose you are driving (sorry I can’t think of other examples but they are there if I could think) and your car stopped due to some problem. What you will do is open our app and click on “I need Help” button. App will show you a screen to put the problem title, description and you can also attach image and video too. You will also be selecting the category of the problem.
- Now suppose I am a professional and I know I can repair your car and earn some money. I will be notified that a new help request is just added which falls into the category which I have signed up for or added in the categories of interest. I will click on the request and check the details and see if I can do it. If I think so, I will quote a price for it.
- You will receive a notification that somebody sent a quote to help you. You will check the quote and can also check the profile of that person to check his/her previous jobs, reviews, ratings, verification status etc. You can also tap on buttons like “Give me 5% discount “ and it will notify the Helper and he can accept if he thinks he can give 5% discount on it. This way there will be no real communication between the 2 of them but they will reach on a price. Now the Helper accepts the updated price. You will be notified about it and if you think everything is good, you will accept the it and pay for the job in advance. This money will go straight to our escrow account. Helper completed the job, will ask you to mark the job as completed and provide some feedback. Once it’s done, app will release money from escrow to the Helper’s account. We will take our part from it just like we did in Vyta where we show the Helper not the original price but the price after cutting our charges from it.
- So this was the whole idea of the app. The main thing I love about this concept is that it has no limitations on who is this for so the market is so big and lot of potential is there if we could hit a home run. There could be many improvements and additions to this concept, what I just explained in the basic idea.
- To give people a sense of safety, we could ask service providers (Helpers) to upload some legal documents otherwise they are marked as unverified. We can show the help takers that this person is verified, or this person is not verified yet so proceed with caution.
