At the time, Parker was teaching himself how to program with the goal of building the best place to write things down. Me being the eccentric and outgoing person I am would constantly talk to Parker while he was trying to get his work done. . This led to a beautiful friendship where I would call Parker regularly, talk his ear off, and know he would be there to listen. . One day, in typical fashion, I called Parker with a software developer's favorite words “I have an app idea I need your help with“ . Parker politely declined my random app idea and reintroduced me to his goal of building the best place to write, remember, and share things. I was immediately hooked. Hi everyone - my name is Joe and this is my co-founder Parker, but our friends and family call us the Twos Guys. Twos ✌️ is an app and website that helps you simply remember *things*. As new or returning students - I'm sure you all can relate to the sheer number of *things* going on every day. . From homework assignments, school events, and new people you meet - there is a lot to remember at any given moment. . College is also the first time where you are on your own to manage all these things which can bring on a lot of stress, anxiety, and depression. . This is very common because depression and anxiety tend to hit hardest between the ages of 18-25. Parker started developing Twos when he was a student at Vanderbilt University dealing with depression of his own. What Parker found is that writing things down to get them off his mind was more impactful than anything he had tried before. Both Parker and I have experienced the immense benefits of writing things down from being able to remember more, think clearly, and get ahead in our personal and professional lives. We're excited to share how Twos is redefining how people write things down to make it easier and more accessible for everyone to experience its benefits. . By a show of hands, who has forgotten someone's name or something they need to do in the past week? You're clearly not alone, according to scientific studies, people forget 70% of new things they learn every day. Our goal with Twos is to build the best place for people to write, remember, and share *things*. . Let me show you how it works.. Twos is built on a simple system of days, lists, and things. Y'all are probably all familiar with days and lists, so a majority of this demo will be centered around *things* and how *things* are more powerful than simply taking notes. . By a show of hands, how many of you write things down on paper? Keep your hand up if you start each new page with today's date. This is why every time you open Twos, you will be automatically placed on Today. . Every day, Twos gives you a new day to write *things* down in a quick and organized way. This is my today - where I have my events, daily reminders, random to-dos, and any *thing* else that is on my mind that I want to remember. You can connect your calendar so any events will appear at the top of your days. You can write reminders using your natural language on days like “Call mom tomorrow“ or “Accounting exam next Tuesday at 1 pm“. With Twos, you have quick access to all the things you write down with features like “your week“ to see all of the things you wrote down last week or have coming up. When you want more structure to the things you write on your days, you can create a new list. . The lists of lists are endless. You can create a list of groceries, things you want to buy on amazon, things you want to remember in a class, and so on. For example, I will start a new list for my favorite quotes.. ““You miss 100% of the shots you don't take“ -Michael Jordan“ Michael Scott“. Now I can easily share or collaborate on this list with my friends by visiting the list actions and either sharing the list via a universal link or by adding a collaborator. Last, but certainly not least, we have *things*. Everyone has *things* they want to remember, but currently, we spread our things across many different apps and systems like a notes app, reminders app, calendar app, task app, paper, post it’s, calendars, etc. *Things* like people's names, important events, reminders to take out the trash, and so on. But these things are rarely predictable. We are constantly being bombarded with new things we want to remember which is why we need the ability to quickly capture any *thing* and organize it as necessary. So I will go back to my day and let's pretend like I am having lunch with my good friend Neil Armstrong and he says the artichoke dip we are having is “one small step for man, one gain leap for mankind“. I can write that down on my day so I won't forget it, and later on, I can select and move that *thing* to the list of my favorite quotes where it will sit so I can find it later. You can do the same with multiple *things* at a time like if I were to think of two items I needed from the store like cheese and artichokes I can just write those *things* on my day and then move them to my grocery list. . *Things* can also be reordered, shared, completed, and much much more. That is Twos simple system of days, lists, and things. It’s an app designed for our busy, information-packed lives so we can live more calm, memorable, and connect with one another by sharing the *things* that are important to us. We will be around all year, if you have any questions you can text, call, or email us and we would love to help. We’re happy to answer any questions you all may have!
