- In regards to revenue: “This is an experiment we have to run”
- We have run an experiment for how the a-la-carte model will work but subscription is more churn, more reasons to churn
- Our incoming hypothesis is the a-la-carte experience will be better
- Apple TV is a great model to study: can buy everything individually or as a sub
- Maybe you offer the subscription after reaching a certain threshold of features
- I assume they will appreciate the potential of the business
- We’re not ruling things out, we’re not stubborn, we will let user feedback dictate our decisions
- Are relevance and utilization important (sub) or is it new users (a-La-carte)
- Marketing will be very different on these two things
- You don’t have to change anything until you have a term sheet in hand
- Proceed with other options
- Use TBV as leverage
- If you can play the simplicity card, and then the half-private // half-social. Then you can have market segments between the two.
- I want Oprah’s grocery list, but I’m not going to share mine.
- App: out of office
- Travel recommendations sharing
- Closed network (possibly)
- The goal is the vision doesn’t change. In 20 years will we still be able to build on this vision
- Facebook groups
- Saving info they are already posting
- Likes the idea of us hosting events at Embarc
- People will want to become a power user
- Or help us with Twos
- Everything is experiments, try everything
- Allie is the connection point between our network
- Notion - the investor database
- Evan for event space
