One Million Cups St. Pete Pitch notes
by Parker · 75 things on Twos
- Presentation
- Murdered it, truly a master with words, great examples, nice flow and pace throughout
- Said Twos is an app that helps people stop forgetting things. Kinda love it. Write, remember, and share doesn't allow people to latch on to what it does as easily since we are describing three different things
- People love the by a show of hands has anyone been embarrassed when they forgot someone's name or an important date or birthday
- Twos fucks so hard. The competition slide is a great representation of all of these apps and Twos being better than them
- Quicker, easier, and more organized than the alternatives is a little biased. It will be interesting to hear what Allen had in mind for the competition slide
- Is there an opportunity for us to talk about productivity in this? Excited to discuss our mission, vision, and values later this week. "Vision: Twos Social" is only one-half of the equation for me. Half of it is that private capturing of thoughts, feelings, goals, and plans to live a happier life
- Should our roadmap be more than 180 days. 6 months, 1 year, 3 year, 5 year? Just taking a longer-term vision
- Ended it with a smash: We don't just build the product, we use the product (mic drop)
- Q+A
- Why hasn't Google done this?
- Need a better answer
- Parker: Software, anyone can do it, we have a unique vision and approach to how we will make Twos into something as big as google
- Joe: Proprietary system of days, lists, and things
- Typing is hard. Speech recognition?
- Microphone always on your screen and then the audio turns into a thing and then you can do things with those things
- What are you raising?
- 1 million dollars. First round of funding. Never raised before. Mainly to create salaries for these employees. Developers, designers, marketers. Take it to the world. That's why we are setting the bar as high as we are
- How do you make money?
- Free platform, $2 premium upgrades, similar to canva. Completely free, trying to create the most value as possible we're not really concerned about our revenue model up until we accomplish our goal. Does that answer your question?
- As an investor it is troubling. I don't want to give you 100 grand if you don't have revenue
- Freemium, sorta like spotify, a free version, and a premium version for added features
- Our vision is the marketplace of information . Twos half private half social, took social out to focus on the utility. We will take a percentage of each transaction. Microtransactions
- Who writes your software?
- Parker, former software developer from Google. Instant speed
- What is the incentive to go premium?
- More functionality, customizing your bookmark color
- We believe in micro transactions rather than subscriptions. Sublists, lists within list. Alerts, about st. pete. We make about $150 per month, 75 people coming in and buying an upgrade for a "slightly increased experience" <- real air quotes lol
- We need to sync on microtransactions vs subscription. I believe in both, its just figuring out the right model and packages
- Do you have a financial perspective for potential investors?
- Yes, I have a background in finance. Data room. Pro forma
- Do you plan to make any money on the transactions like 10%?
- Yes
- Do you do that today?
- We don't have the current social platform. Started as a half private and half social. Been focus on the utility. Now the plan is to build out the social, have customer success people in place. Prepare for reintroduction of social side
- How do you convince someone to raise a million dollars when you are make $150 / mo?
- It is a lot of trust and belief that we will achieve the vision we beliefe we are capable of achieving. No one has done this before, confusing that a network of information, private and social has not be tried, if you want to be a part of something that is exciting, huge potential to be massive, it is not a typical business, technical business
- While our raise is somewhat high, our valuation isn't, we are trying to be respectul about the amount of money it will take to hire, prepare, and give back with a high discount rate for the investors believing in the vision. Exactly like we said, think of the problems in the marketplace currently, people going on Facebook and saying hey whats everyone's favorite Tampa restuarants and then what do you do with that information. It happens on these platforms all the time so we are creating the first market mover in half private haf social side
- Are you planning on having a proprietary crypto?
- Definitely something we are into. Parker?
- We have an incentive based onboarding to earn coins and redeem those coins for features, impacts the amount of money we make, users choose to use the coins for upgrades, down the line, NFTs restricted amount, if people save it, make changes and resell, people will get kick back
- With crypto we want people to own their data
- If you are funding using microtransactions how are you paying for minting fees?
- Those are the kind of questions we are going to have to take as they present themselves. We are not currently thinking of them in the crypto aspect, just the incentive based onboarding.
- Long-term play and the costs will come down
- You made a comment on funding being necessary to make payroll, are you paying yourselves?
- We've been bootstrapped for the past year and will be taking that into account for the first round of funding
- Is this integratabtle into a CRM or is it primarily a social platform?
- It is dependent on the route we take, we have had a lot of interest in creating an enterprise software. We believe there is a lot of enterprise software out there, roam, notion, obsidian, google keep, we believe in giving people a place to write thing down which is why we are taking the DTC approach. It's why you know of the Google and Twitter and why you've never heard of a lot of the CRMs baked into companies. While businesses have a lot of the capital, we believe very heavily in our vision to give people a place to write things down
- If I sell my grandmas recipe, is there something set up so someone can't sell my recipe?
- Yes
- 😂
- What's your process on getting user feedback?
- Discord community for a lot of feedback, email users to ask for user interviews, send feedback and need help buttons
- You can't get users without content and you can't get content without users. So how will you do it?
- Currently, it is a great place to write things down. I use it for my movie ratings, recipes, book notes. That's our ask. Twos on the app store. We aren't extracting your data. Start storing data so you will have it when we have the social side. Positive of having private and social. Rather than having to write something in your facebook status, 'okay is this ready for the public' write it down, aggreagate it, my recommendations list for austin, tampa, very important lists for me, value and allows people to connect with me, then I will sell it
- I use Yelp alot, but don't do premium, how do you know people will go premium?
- We see a big problem with the ads and where information is coming from. Companies paying to be at the top of the list. Impersonal experience. You know people who live in Tampa. Social marketplace. Not everything will be sold. You will have a network
- 5% of users pay for features, low because of the coins we are giving people to learn. There are so many ways to monetize it as long as we are building a valuable tool, you know we don't have the social, collaboration, but not full share, it is a useful valuable tool to remember things
- How many times have you met someone you dont have a notepad, you probably aren't going to use apple notes cause apple notes stinks, quickly write things down thanks to days, love feedback on private utility, our cream of the crop, 74 ratings on the app store and 71 are 5 stores
- How do I find Grandma D's pumpkin pie?
- Our SEO is pretty solid, it may show up in google
- So within the app I can search for it?
- In the future yes, but right now it is just the things you've written and the things people have shared with you
- Are you based in Tampa?
- We are
- Does it integrate with Google?
- We have pull, we don't have push. It will pull from all your different calendars and has a link to the events
- The revenue streams are somewhat limited on $2 a pop for features. One of the revenues may be ads, but you said that isn't something you like about yelp, isn't that something you want to consider. Use premium feature as an ad blocker
- Yes, love it, you could pay a subscription for no ads like youtube does it, spot on
- We will take it in a comfortable, normal approach for st pete ads, as far as pictures and data extractors and all that and as it relates to the revenue system once again we're trying to create the most value as possible, that is why revenue hasn't been a focus. We put in the coin system to teach people how to use it, the social side will allow millions of people to share information they've never been able to share before and that is where the billions of dollars come in because there is no platform like it
- How can we help you?
- Use it to remember things
- The next time you have something you want to remember, try writing it down in twos. We are open and willing to help with suggestions. Intro to connections in fundraising
- Parker: Hi do you have Android? 😂
