- The sinner is enslaved to sin but the redemption of Jesus Christ removes the chains of those in Christ, those who trust Christ as their personal Savior.

- A sinner, upon trusting Christ as Savior, is not only set free from their sin but is also forgiven of their sin.
- Forgiven for their sinful state.
- Forgiven for their sinful acts.
- Forgiven for sending Jesus to the Cross by their sin.

- Redemption, the blood, and forgiveness are according to the riches of God's grace.
- It is Who He is and His gracefulness that provides freedom from sin and forgiveness of sin.
