- Idea, research and development (is there a market? does it solve the problem? is this applicable to a billion people? fund out of your pocket, family, friends), MVP commercially viable product (prove it in the business world, sell things people do everyday, like shaving, coffee, prove it is sticky, not making money yet, testing), raise money from investors (pay, use, use it 10x a day, raise to go from 100 -> 10,000, go to market, don't give away equity until you can prove the use case, high net worth individual that like us, like what we're doing, give them a small amount of equity)
