- Good afternoon Sharks, my name is Joe and I am a co-founder and Chief Communications Officer of Twos Technology Incorporated.
- Twos is an app and website that helps people stop forgetting “things.”
- Things can be as simple as your friend's dogs name, a coupon code from your email or a simple to-do.
- Things can also be your favorite lectures from Harvard business school, the 11 general orders for a sentry in the marine core, or your club distances before you play 18 at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
- Our story begins in the spring of 2015 when my co-founder, Parker, was a student at Vanderbilt University.
- Like many college students, Parker was burdened with depression and anxiety which was difficult both academically and personally.
- This led him to write down his thoughts in a Word document to keep them from fogging up his mind.
- Parker did this for years and amassed hundreds of pages of thoughts all of which were useless once he closed his computer.
- Parker noticed a problem that had no concrete solution, yet.
- The problems he identified were…
- How long it took for him to start writing
- The disorganization of the things he wrote down
- And the purely private nature of writing in a Word document.
- So Parker taught himself how to program with the goal of making Twos a reality, a personal database of all the things you want to write, remember, and share for life.
- My involvement with Twos began last July during the pandemic when I called Parker with a software developers favorite words...
- "I have an app idea I need your help with" *pause for laughter*
- Parker re-introduced me to Twos and the value potential immediately clicked.
- People need a better place to quickly write things they want to remember and access for life.
- So we got started improving and marketing Twos part-time while Parker was working at Google and myself in private equity.
- Since then, we have moved to Tampa, finalized the MVP, and began working on Twos full-time.
- So how does Twos do it?
- A simple system of Days, Lists, & Things.
- Here is a little breakdown of each…
- Every day, Twos loads a new day called "Today" for people to quickly write and organize the information they want to remember in a system people are familiar with
- Lists are a collection of things you write organized by the category they belong to whether it be a grocery list, favorite quotes, family recipes, notes from a meeting, or even this pitch.
- Finally, and most importantly, things are pieces of information you write down that make up your days and lists
- Since things are exclusive of the list they are on, things can be moved, reordered, shared, among dozens of other actions.
- Twos is the quickest and easiest place to write, remember, and share any piece of information forever.
- Twos has over 15,000 users who have created over 43,000 lists and wrote over 211,000 things.
- Our goals in the next twelve months are to improve the functionality of Twos with new features (such as collab) and reintroduce Twos Social: a marketplace of shared information.
- This will allow people to share lists and individual things they write privately to connect with their followers and friends.
- Our vision is simple
- Become the biggest network of private and public information for people to connect over more than just personal updates.
