Describe what your company does in 50 characters or less. Twos is the best place to write things down. What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do. Twos will be the biggest network of private and social information. Capture and remember any piece of your life in one quick and organized place; then share and connect with others. Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC? Tampa, United States / anywhere we need to be. Please enter the url of a 1 minute unlisted (not private) YouTube video introducing the founder(s). This video is an important part of the application. (Follow the Video Guidelines.). https://youtu.be/j3kpcR9EmMY. Please tell us about an interesting project, preferably outside of class or work, that two or more of you created together. Include urls if possible. Need something. How long have the founders known one another and how did you meet? Have any of the founders not met in person? The two met at a tech startup in 2018. Which category best applies to your company? Community. How many founders are on the team? 2. How far along are you? Twos is available on the app store and at TwosApp (dot) com. How long have each of you been working on this? How much of that has been full-time? Please explain. We have been working on Twos full-time since May of 2021. Are people using your product? Yes. How many active users or customers do you have? If you have some particularly valuable customers, who are they? If you're building hardware, how many units have you shipped? 39 DAUs and 160 MAUs and growing weekly. We ask for feedback from and value all of our users, but communicate daily with a self-proclaimed “notes nerd“ and top producing real estate agent. Do you have revenue? No. Anything else you would like us to know regarding your revenue or growth rate? We are not currently focused on generating revenue as we believe Twos will always be free to use. Our runway is circa 10 years. We recently began a new go-to-market strategy by helping local businesses communicate with their customers using Twos and expect it to catapult our growth. If you are applying with the same idea as a previous batch, did anything change? If you applied with a different idea, why did you pivot and what did you learn from the last idea? Twos has been rebuilt three times. We are constantly evolving our approach and execution but keep out vision and virtues intact. To be the biggest network of private and social information. If you have already participated or committed to participate in an incubator, “accelerator“ or “pre-accelerator“ program, please tell us about it. N/A. Why did you pick this idea to work on? Do you have domain expertise in this area? How do you know people need what you're making? Based on the value that we have realized in our own lives using Twos, we will continue to scale. We have spoken to and received validation from many people that want a product like Twos. Everyone needs a better place to write anything down. What's new about what you're making? What substitutes do people resort to because it doesn't exist yet (or they don't know about it)? Currently, people use daily planners, post-it notes, Apple notes, texting/emailing themselves, etc which all lack at least one aspect that Twos provides. We are creating the fastest and easiest place to record and share any piece of your life, which other companies do not focus on. Who are your competitors, and who might become competitors? Who do you fear most? Notion, Apple Notes, Evernote, Roam, notebooks, paper, sticky notes, email, and other productivity/task apps. Twitter, Facebook, and Google could become competitors if they incorporated private capturing of information. We fear Notion the most, but their business model focuses on enterprise customers instead of consumers. What do you understand about your business that other companies in it just don't get? The ability to immediately capture any piece of information is very powerful. Sharing that information with others will lead to more valuable human connections outside of personal updates. How do or will you make money? How much could you make? We will make money through advertising (on the social side) and eventual acquisition. The revenue potential of Twos is exponential, but we predict it will be billions per year. How will you get users? If your idea is the type that faces a chicken-and-egg problem in the sense that it won't be attractive to users till it has a lot of users (e.g. a marketplace, a dating site, an ad network), how will you overcome that? Our new go-to-market strategy helps local businesses communicate more effectively with their customers through Twos. This will be a platform for people to become familiar with concise, valuable information that will help us grow. Have you incorporated, or formed any legal entity (like an LLC) yet? Yes. What kind of entity and in what state or country was the entity formed? Delaware C Corp. Please describe the breakdown of the equity ownership in percentages among the founders, employees and any other stockholders. If there are multiple founders, be sure to give the equity ownership of each founder. Parker Klein - 58%. Joe Steilberg - 22%. Unvested - 20%. Have you taken any investment yet? No. Are any of the founders covered by noncompetes or intellectual property agreements that overlap with your project? If so, please explain. No. Who writes code, or does other technical work on your product? Was any of it done by a non-founder? Please explain. Parker. Is there anything else we should know about your company? If you had any other ideas you considered applying with, please list them. One may be something we've been waiting for. Often when we fund people it's to do something they list here and not in the main application. Muse: daily reflections. 7 Levels Deep: find your why. Tens: the best party game in the world.
